Knicks Win in Three OTs

Stephon Marbury scored 32 points, including seven in the third overtime, and had 10 assists against his former team as the New York Knicks outlasted the visiting Phoenix Suns, 140-133, Monday night to end a three-game losing streak.

Eddy Curry and rookie David Lee each converted three-point plays in the third overtime for the Knicks (8-21), who needed to play a triple-overtime game for the first time in 13 years to avoid taking sole possession of the NBA’s worst record.

Jamal Crawford scored 29 points.

Shawn Marion scored 39 points, and Steve Nash had 28 points and 22 assists for the Suns.

Fred Jones scored 26 points to help the Indiana Pacers end a four-game losing streak with a 115-96 victory over the visiting Seattle SuperSonics.... Kenyon Martin had 24 points to help the Nuggets end a three-game losing streak with a 120-110 win over the Boston Celtics at Denver.... Michael Redd scored 17 of his 29 points in the third quarter at Chicago to help the Milwaukee Bucks send the Bulls to their seventh straight loss, 93-92.... Chris Paul had 24 points in the New Orleans Hornets’ 103-86 win over the visiting Charlotte Bobcats at Oklahoma City.
