Kelly Mac Seeks Another Victory on Main Track

Kelly Mac, with a win and two seconds in three two-turn races on dirt, will try for a second victory on the dirt when she races nine other females in the seventh today at Hollywood Park.

The Thunder Gulch mare, owned by Ernie Moody’s Mercedes Stable LLC and trained by Darrell Vienna, will be making her first start since a runner-up effort to Rebel Creek in an allowance on May 15.

Martin Pedroza, who has been aboard for Kelly Mac’s last two starts, has the mount again today in the $51,000 optional claimer at 1 1/16 miles.

The hottest horse in the field is Neon Princess, a 3-year-old daughter of Royal Anthem who has won two in a row for trainer Paddy Gallagher.
