Those Laker Plays Weren’t That Tricky

Share

I couldn’t help but get a good laugh from the Morning Briefing item about Phil Jackson using discarded Lakers diagrams in 1991 to figure out the Lakers’ plays and how to defend them. You’d think that the Zen Master would be able to figure out the incredibly “complicated” plays just by watching the Lakers run them over and over again in Game 1. I’m especially curious as to exactly which diagram gave him the unbelievable insight to use Scottie Pippen (a taller, better defender) on Magic Johnson.
