Film closures are a pain
Re “Road closure,” Oct. 31
Even though this doesn’t personally involve me, I was appalled to read that major travel arteries to Los Angeles International Airport (Imperial Highway and the 105 Freeway) will be closed during daytime hours for many days. Los Angeles traffic is bad enough without road closures for a private movie production.

The movie industry seems to have its fingers in just about every pie, and now it’s in the city’s Transportation Department. What advantage does the city gain by closing down the freeways for days just to film a movie? We already suffer daily congestion and longer-than-ever commutes to work. What an asinine decision!
