From Times staff reports
Starting Jan. 1, city motorists are likely to pay 5.6% more if their car is towed or stored by any of the 19 garages licensed by the Police Department.
The Police Commission gave tentative approval of the rate increase Tuesday and is expected to give final approval after a brief public hearing period.
Under the new rate, the cost of having a car towed would increase to $101.50, and the daily storage rate for a standard vehicle would rise to $31.50.
