Repaving of I-15 slows traffic to Las Vegas
From Times Staff Reports
Las Vegas-bound motorists suffered heavy delays after Caltrans closed a portion of northbound Interstate 15 on Saturday morning for repaving work.
“It’s still heavy, but it’s moving,” said California Highway Patrol Sgt. Kevin Martin. At mid-afternoon, traffic had backed up for about six miles on the northbound detour, Interstate 215, between the University Parkway exit and the I-15 interchange.
The work is scheduled to continue through 4 a.m. Monday.
