No. 20 Wake Forest 38, at Maryland 24: Kenneth Moore ran for 165 yards and a touchdown, Kevin Harris scored twice, and freshman quarterback Riley Skinner was 10 for 13 for 125 yards and a touchdown for the Demon Deacons (10-2, 6-2) in a victory over the Terrapins (8-4, 5-3) at College Park, Md. Wake Forest is the first ACC team to go 6-0 on the road and will be seeking its first ACC title since 1970 next Saturday against Georgia Tech in Jacksonville, Fla. The teams did not face each other this season. It was Wake Forest’s first win in eight tries against Maryland since 1998. Coming in, the Demon Deacons were 13-40-1 against the Terrapins.

at Georgia 15, No. 16 Georgia Tech 12: Matthew Stafford threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Mohamed Massaquoi with 1:45 left, leading the Bulldogs (8-4) at Athens for their sixth straight win against the Yellow Jackets (9-3). Georgia Tech, which will play for the ACC title next week, saw quarterback Reggie Ball complete only six of 22 passes for 42 yards.

at No. 17 Virginia Tech 17, Virginia 0: Sean Glennon threw a touchdown pass, George Bell ran for a score and the defense made it stand as the Hokies (10-2, 6-2) ran their winning streak to six games by defeating the Cavaliers (5-7, 4-4) at Blacksburg. Virginia Tech, which has four shutouts this season, has won seven of its last eight from Virginia.

South Carolina 31, at No. 24 Clemson 28: Mike Davis rushed for two second-half touchdowns and Ryan Succop made a go-ahead 35-yard field goal as the Gamecocks (7-5) defeated the Tigers (8-4) at Clemson, S.C., to end a four-game losing streak to their in-state rival.

North Carolina 45, at Duke 44: Brandon Tate returned a punt 54 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and Kentwan Balmer blocked an extra-point attempt that would have forced overtime to lead the Tar Heels (3-9, 2-6) over the Blue Devils (0-12, 0-8) at Durham, N.C., in John Bunting’s final game as North Carolina’s coach.

East Carolina 21, at North Carolina State 16: James Pinkney threw for 220 yards and connected with Aundrae Allison for a long touchdown just before halftime to lead the Pirates (7-5) over the Wolfpack (3-9) at Raleigh.
