Update -- The Kings have not lost a home opener since the 1993-94 season, with seven victories and four ties. They cleaned up on the Blues last season, winning all four games. Defensemen Oleg Tverdovsky and Mike Weaver and forward Tom Kostopoulos were healthy scratches Friday. Center Alyn McCauley, rehabilitating from knee surgery, continues non-contact drills but there is no timetable for his return. Kings officials are urging fans to leave plenty of time to get to the game because of the USC game at the Coliseum.
