Double-stack highways

Re “The idea guy,” Opinion, Oct. 11

Cliff Hall’s idea for relieving L.A. traffic congestion could be very useful if only it were realized. It makes sense to build our highways above each other instead of taking up more space and building them next to each other. Japan, a country in dire need of space, has for some time combated that problem by constructing its buildings and highways on top of each other.

Hey, if Arnold Schwarzenegger could become governor, then Cliff Hall can become L.A.’s city planner.
