Fire forces evacuation of young campers

A brush fire broke out early Friday in the Santa Ana Mountains, forcing authorities to evacuate about 140 children camping in the area, according to Orange County fire officials.
The fire was thought to have begun in a structure on the Lazy W Ranch campground near Ortega Highway and Hot Springs Canyon Road about 4:30 a.m. A crew of 85 firefighters was able to extinguish it within four hours.
