At Least 1 Dies in Fiery Car-Truck Collision
At least one person was killed in a fiery crash late Wednesday when a car slid under a big rig on the 91 Freeway, causing the truck to explode.
Details were sketchy on the accident that occurred shortly before 8 p.m. just west of Kramer Avenue in Anaheim. It held up traffic for hours.
Authorities said a second car might have run off the freeway after swerving to avoid the wreckage. They did not immediately identify the deceased, nor could they say which vehicle the person had been in.
Firefighters were able to douse the flames and begin diverting traffic in slightly over an hour.
