at No. 25 Boise State 41, Hawaii 34: Jared Zabransky threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns and Ian Johnson ran for 178 yards and two scores to help the Broncos (4-0, 1-0) hold off the Warriors (1-2, 0-1) in a Western Athletic Conference game at Boise, Idaho. The Broncos have won 48 of 50 games on their home blue turf. Hawaii closed to within 41-34 on Colt Brennan’s eight-yard pass to Jason Rivers, his third touchdown catch of the game, with 2:59 left. The Warriors tried an onside kick, but the Broncos’ Jerard Rabb recovered. Boise State then picked up a first down and ran out the clock. Boise had 308 yards of offense in the first half, 150 rushing and 158 passing.

Utah 38, at San Diego State 7: Eric Weddle returned two interceptions for touchdowns and scored another on offense to lead the Utes (3-1, 1-0) to a Mountain West Conference win over the Aztecs (0-3, 0-1). Weddle’s first two scores came 32 seconds apart in the second quarter as Utah took a 21-7 halftime lead. San Diego State has lost its first three games for the second straight year and for the fifth time in nine seasons.

Air Force 31, at Wyoming 24: Quarterback Shaun Carney ran for 131 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Falcons (1-1, 1-0) over the Cowboys (1-3, 0-1) in a Mountain West game at Laramie, Wyo. Chad Hall had 122 yards rushing and a touchdown for Air Force. The Falcons totaled 367 yards on offense -- nearly double what Wyoming had been giving up.

at Brigham Young 38, Utah State 0: Jason Beck passed for 305 yards and a touchdown in his first start and Fui Vakapuna ran for three scores to lead the Cougars (2-2) over the Aggies (0-4) at Provo, Utah. Beck was starting for John Beck (no relation), who rested his sprained right ankle, and completed 20 of 28 passes with one interception. Utah State was shut out for the third straight game and has yet to score a point on offense this season.

at New Mexico 26, Texas El Paso 13: Rodney Ferguson rushed for a career-high 162 yards and quarterback Chris Nelson threw two touchdown passes and had the first rushing score of the season for the Lobos (2-2) in a win over the Miners (1-2) at Albuquerque. Texas El Paso quarterback Jordan Palmer had a 25-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Robinson to extend his streak of touchdown passes to 23 straight games.

at San Jose State 17, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 7: Cornerback Dwight Lowery tied a school record with three interceptions and running back Yonus Davis rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns to lead the host Spartans (2-1) over the Mustangs (3-1).

Wisconsin La Crosse 27, at Azusa Pacific 10: Corey Geldernick rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown and John Schumann completed 18 of 30 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown to lead the Eagles (3-0) over the Cougars (1-3). Wisconsin La Crosse held Azusa Pacific scoreless in the second half and added a three-yard touchdown run by Mike Schmidt in the third quarter.

at Puget Sound 21, Claremont Mudd 0: The Loggers (3-0) posted their first shutout since 1986 in a victory over the Stags (1-1) at Tacoma, Wash.
