Update -- After losing their season opener at home to San Jose, the Avengers have won two games in a row on the road and will close their three-game trip against the defending Arena Football League champion. Second-year quarterback Sonny Cumbie continues to put up strong numbers for the Avengers with 16 touchdown passes and 878 yards passing. He’s the only starting quarterback in the league without an interception. Fourth-year receiver Lenzie Jackson is having a breakout season, catching at least three passes in all three games. Jackson leads the team with 34 catches for 386 yards. Kevin Ingram leads the Avengers with seven touchdown catches. Chicago receiver Bobby Sippio leads the Arena Football League in scoring with 96 points. Defensive back Dejaun Alfonzo is the league leader in fumble recoveries with three, including two returned for touchdowns.
