At least 4 are killed in Southland traffic accidents

At least four people were killed Sunday in three traffic accidents around the Southland.

None of the victims’ names was released, and no arrests had been made.

In La Habra, a 33-year-old man driving a Nissan pickup truck and a female juvenile in a Chevrolet SUV were killed when their vehicles collided, authorities said.

The juvenile was ejected from the SUV. Three other occupants of that vehicle and a passenger in the pickup were seriously injured. The accident, reported at 1:16 p.m., was at Harbor Boulevard and Stearns Avenue.

A two-car collision at 108th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard in Inglewood killed a female passenger in the front seat of one of the vehicles.

According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, the victim was Latina and in her early 30s. Inglewood police said four other members of the woman’s family were injured, though not seriously.

The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries, and Inglewood police were investigating whether he was racing another vehicle at the time of the 9:23 a.m. accident.

In the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, police said, a 22-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle about 9:30 a.m. No other vehicle was involved in the accident on Hyperion Avenue near Glendale Boulevard.
