Update -- Toronto, an expansion team, has been struggling. The Canadian team hasn’t won since July 4 and hasn’t scored a goal since July 7. It has been outscored, 8-0, in its last five games, four losses and one tie, which was against the Galaxy this month. But Chivas could be rusty because it hasn’t played in 20 days. Chivas’ playoff hopes still look good, even though the team hasn’t played since July 29. Chivas is currently seeded seventh in the league’s playoff standings -- two points behind Kansas City and one point ahead of Columbus. The team acquired Ramon Nuñez from FC Dallas this week to add depth and scoring punch to the midfield. Although Chivas has played better in its recent road games, the team has struggled away from the Home Depot Center. Eight of Chivas’ last 13 games of the season are at home, where the team is 6-0-1 and has given up only two goals.
