Holiday closures
The following schedule is in effect today in observance of Christmas:
* Government: All city, county, state and federal offices and public schools will be closed.
* Mail: No delivery. Post offices will be closed.
* Public transit: MTA buses and trains will follow Sunday schedules. The Los Angeles County transit system will return to its regular weekday schedule Wednesday.
* Trash: No trash collection in Los Angeles; it will resume Wednesday.
