Detroit 98, Indiana 92: Richard Hamilton scored 24 points, Chauncey Billups had 17 and the Pistons won at Indianapolis for their eighth straight victory. Rasheed Wallace finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds to help Detroit complete a home-and-home sweep. Jermaine O’Neal had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, who lost their third straight game.

Dallas 97, Atlanta 84: Dirk Nowitzki had 22 points and Josh Howard and Devin Harris each had 19 for the Mavericks, who led throughout at Dallas and stopped the Hawks’ five-game winning streak. The Hawks missed out on their first six-game winning streak since the 1998-99 season, the last time they made the playoffs and finished with a winning record.

Orlando 104, Charlotte 95: Hedo Turkoglu scored a season-high 28 points, Dwight Howard added 15 points and 21 rebounds, and the Magic won at home for its third straight victory. Rashard Lewis had 18 points as all five Magic starters scored in double figures. Jason Richardson scored a season-high 34 points for the Bobcats, who lost their fourth in a row.

Washington 96, Miami 74: The Heat, playing without injured Shaquille O’Neal and coming off an overtime loss at home Friday, lost its fourth in a row. Andray Blatche scored 18 points for the Wizards. Miami’s Dwyane Wade, who played 51 minutes Friday, looked sluggish and had 12 points, along with seven turnovers, in 27 minutes. He didn’t play in the fourth quarter.

New Orleans 86, Cleveland 76: LeBron James drew the first sellout this season in New Orleans Arena (17,623) and also drew a lot of defensive attention from the Hornets, who held him to 21 points. Chris Paul had 20 points, nine assists and tied a career high with seven steals for New Orleans (20-10), which won its fifth straight and equaled the best 30-game start in franchise history.

Houston 91, Toronto 79: Yao Ming scored 17 of his 25 points in the second half, including eight in the fourth quarter, and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Rockets to their third win in four games. Chris Bosh scored 19 points for the visiting Raptors. Houston’s Tracy McGrady missed his second straight game with left knee tendinitis. He is day-to-day.

New Jersey 97, Milwaukee 95: Vince Carter scored eight of his 23 points in the final four minutes, Jason Kidd added 11 of his 17 in the fourth quarter, and the Nets beat the Bucks at Milwaukee. Kidd also had 15 assists. Michael Redd scored 35 points for the Bucks, who lost for the fifth time in their last six games.

Seattle 109, Minnesota 90: Wally Szczerbiak and rookie Jeff Green each scored 18 points for the SuperSonics, who played the last three quarters without Kevin Durant but still easily beat the Timberwolves in Seattle. Durant, the second pick in the 2007 draft and the Sonics’ leading scorer at 20.2 points a game, sprained his left index finger late in the first period. X-rays were negative, but Durant was held out as a precaution.

Boston 104, Utah 98: The Celtics trailed by seven points at halftime before turning it on to win their fifth in a row, improving their record to 25-3. They are 3-0 on the Western trip that ends tonight against the Lakers at Staples Center.
