One bad night may have overshadowed all the good Carmelo Anthony has done this season.

The NBA’s leading scorer was not among the seven reserves announced Thursday for the Western Conference team that will play in the Feb. 18 All-Star game at Las Vegas.

Anthony, who averages 31.3 points but missed 15 games while suspended for his role in the Dec. 16 fight in New York, was the most obvious omission.

Anthony still has a chance to play in the game. Commissioner David Stern will soon choose a replacement for injured Yao Ming and Utah Jazz forward Carlos Boozer also could be unavailable because of a fracture in his left leg.

Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison will be out at least three weeks because of a sprained left knee suffered in Tuesday’s victory over Detroit.

Jamison, who underwent an MRI exam Thursday, won’t require surgery. He is averaging 19.3 points and 7.9 rebounds, but he was coming off a 35-point game against Detroit last Friday and a 34-point effort against Boston on Sunday.

Sacramento Kings Coach Eric Musselman was suspended two games without pay by the NBA for driving under the influence.

Scott Brooks will replace him.

Musselman, in his first year as Kings’ coach, was arrested Oct. 21 and pleaded no contest last week in Sacramento County Superior Court. He was ordered to pay $580 in fines and penalties.

Two days after being waived by the Memphis Grizzlies, guard Eddie Jones re-signed with the Miami Heat

Jones, a 35-year-old who played with Miami from 2000-05, was traded by the Heat to the Grizzlies in August 2005. He was averaging 5.6 points. To make room, Miami waived guard Robert Hite.
