Woman dies of wounds in fight with boyfriend
An Irvine woman died Thursday after a fight with her boyfriend in which both suffered puncture wounds and were covered in blood, authorities said.
Janelle Peralta, 29, and her boyfriend, Javier Colon, 33, had moved to the 400 block of Las Palmas from New York about a week ago, authorities said.
Peralta and Colon were injured badly enough when officers found them about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday that authorities were not able to interview them.
At least one other person was in the apartment, but that person did not witness the fight, police said. The couple have a 14-month-old child who was not there.
Colon was taken to a hospital in police custody on suspicion of attempted murder. He was in serious condition.
