Man arrested after woman’s body found
A 23-year-old Oxnard man has been arrested after authorities found a woman stabbed to death inside the car he drove to a Calabasas gas station Friday.
The victim, Barbarita Luna, 25, of Ventura, was pronounced dead at a gas station in the 24000 block of Calabasas Road.
The incident began at 7:45 a.m. at a Target store in Ventura, where witnesses reported a fight between the couple.
When police officers arrived, they found evidence of a crime, but the car was gone. About 75 minutes later, the car was seen in Calabasas.
Uriel Cruz has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the Ventura Police Department.
