Laguna Niguel driver arrested after fatal crash

A man suspected of drunk driving was arrested Saturday after crashing his car into a tree, killing his passenger, authorities said.
Adrian Isaac Gomez, 22, of Laguna Niguel was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony drunk driving, said Lt. Terry Lindsey of the Huntington Beach Police Department. The passenger, a 21-year-old Huntington Beach man, died at the scene.
Gomez, who suffered minor injuries, lost control of his 1997 Honda on Warner Avenue near Graham Street about 5 a.m., Lindsey said.
