Avengers tumble on the road to Brigade

KANSAS CITY, MO. —
Raymond Philyaw threw five touchdown passes and also ran for a score in the Kansas City Brigade’s 62-56 victory over the Avengers on Saturday night in the Arena Football League.
Philyaw completed 18 of 27 passes for 224 yards, and Charles Frederick led the Brigade (7-5) in receiving with seven catches for 88 yards and three touchdowns. Sonny Cumbie threw six scoring passes for the Avengers (6-6).
