* Michigan State 48, at Purdue 31: Brian Hoyer passed for 266 yards and two touchdowns, and the Spartans (6-5, 2-5) beat the Boilermakers (7-4, 3-4) at West Lafayette, Ind., to end a three-game losing streak and become bowl eligible. Michigan State’s Devin Thomas caught 10 passes to set a school record for catches in a season (68).
* at Northwestern 31, Indiana 28: C.J. Bacher passed to Ross Lane for a three-yard touchdown with 44 seconds to go, capping a 73-yard drive and lifting the Wildcats (6-5, 3-4) over the Hoosiers (6-5, 2-5) at Evanston, Ill.
* at Iowa 21, Minnesota 16: Albert Young rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns, Jake Christensen had 157 yards passing and the Hawkeyes (6-5, 4-4) became bowl eligible with a victory over the Gophers (1-10, 0-7) at Iowa City.
* Penn State 31, at Temple 0: Anthony Morelli threw a pair of touchdowns to Jordan Norwood, exciting the thousands of Penn State fans who turned Temple’s stadium into a mini Happy Valley for the afternoon in Philadelphia as the Nittany Lions (8-3) rolled over the Owls (2-7).
