* at Columbus 4, Chicago 2: Rick Nash, Sergei Fedorov and Jason Chimera each had a goal and an assist, and the Blue Jackets ended a four-game skid. The Blackhawks had won three games in a row and five of six.

* New York Rangers 4, at New Jersey 2: Jaromir Jagr and Brandon Dubinsky scored second-period goals against Martin Brodeur, spoiling the Devils’ goalie’s second chance at 500 wins. Brodeur is second to Patrick Roy, who retired with 551.

* at Tampa Bay 6, Carolina 1: Vincent Lecavalier had three goals and two assists to set a team record with his sixth consecutive multipoint game. The Lightning scored five goals in the second period.

* San Jose 4, at Dallas 3 (SO): Rookie Devin Setoguchi and Patrick Marleau connected in a shootout after scoring goals in regulation. The Stars had rallied from a two-goal, third-period deficit to send the game to overtime before losing their fourth home game in a row.

* Edmonton 1, at Vancouver 0 (SO): Ales Hemsky scored in a shootout and Mathieu Garon made 29 saves through overtime and three in the shootout. The Oilers have won consecutive games for only the second time this season.
