at No. 10 Virginia Tech 44, Miami 14: Branden Ore ran for two touchdowns in his best performance of the season and Hokies (9-2, 6-1) beat the Hurricanes (5-6, 2-5) at Blacksburg in a final tuneup for a huge game with rival Virginia next weekend that determine a spot in the ACC title game. Ore had a 22-yard run on the Hokies’ second play. His touchdowns covered four and seven yards, and each time he bulled over a defender to finish the play.
at Florida State 24, Maryland 16: Bobby Bowden won his 300th game at Florida State, getting 133 yards rushing and a touchdown from Preston Parker as the Seminoles (7-4, 4-4) defeated the Terrapins (5-6, 2-5) at Tallahassee.
at Georgia Tech 27, North Carolina 25: Travis Bell atoned for an earlier miss by kicking a 27-yard field goal with 15 seconds left as the Yellow Jackets (7-4, 4-4) beat the Tar Heels (3-8, 2-5) at Atlanta. Georgia Tech’s Tashard Choice had 33 carries for 142 yards
at Wake Forest 39, North Carolina State 18: Riley Skinner threw two touchdown passes, including a momentum-shifting 62-yarder to Jordan Williams that led the Demon Deacons (7-4, 5-3) over the Wolfpack (5-6, 3-4) at Winston-Salem, N.C. Linebacker Aaron Curry returned a late interception 57 yards for a touchdown.
