Man is shot to death near popular nightspots
A 27-year-old man was fatally shot late Saturday near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Manhattan Place, police said.
Morris Moran of Canoga Park was walking to his car when he was approached from behind by two men, one of whom opened fire, witnesses said.
The shooting occurred about a block west of the Wiltern Theater and other popular nightspots. Police said the attack appeared unprovoked and that they had not yet learned of a motive.
