* Arizona 5 at San Diego 1: Randy Johnson got his first victory since having back surgery in August. Johnson held the Padres to one run and three hits while striking out seven in six innings. The last-place Padres lost for the ninth time in 10 games. Johnson’s last win came on June 10 against Boston.

* Florida 3, at Milwaukee 0 (10 innings): Hanley Ramirez raced home on a grounder to short with the infield in to score the first run. Cody Ross then added a sacrifice fly to center and Mike Rabelo had a run-scoring single off Guillermo Mota (1-1), who entered in the 10th.

* Atlanta 6, at New York 3: Jair Jurrjens walked three consecutive batters with the bases loaded in the third inning, then got his first major league hit ahead of Kelly Johnson’s tiebreaking, two-run homer.

* Philadelphia 6, at Pittsburgh 5: Chris Coste had three hits and three runs batted in and Jayson Werth hit his fourth home run in five games and had two RBIs. The Phillies have won five of six games.

* at San Francisco 3, Cincinnati 1: Jonathan Sanchez (2-1) pitched into the ninth and matched his career high with 10 strikeouts, out-dueling Aaron Harang.

* Houston 3, at St. Louis 2: Carlos Lee’s home run capped a three-run rally off Jason Isringhausen.

* at Washington 5, Chicago 3: Wil Nieves hit his first major league home run, a two-run shot in the ninth inning.
