Party-crasher killed; police seek shooter
A 22-year-old Rialto man was fatally shot outside a party at a multimillion-dollar house in San Antonio Heights early Sunday, and the suspected shooter remained at large, law enforcement officials said.
The victim, DeVoughn Allen, showed up uninvited at a black-tie 30th birthday party of a man identified as the son of a resident of the home in the 2500 block of North Mountain Drive in the unincorporated area north of Upland. Minutes after midnight Sunday, neighbors heard a gunshot and witnessed people running from the scene.
The party, which had attracted an estimated 300 people, took place at a home currently listed by a real estate agent for $3.1 million and scheduled to be used again Aug. 16 for an “all ages” party, according to several fliers at the home.
