Texans...24 Packers...21
Playing his first game in a month after being out because of a knee injury, quarterback Matt Schaub guided Houston down the field to set up Kris Brown’s 40-yard field goal on the final play of the game to beat Green Bay, 24-21.
It was the second consecutive late defensive meltdown by the Packers (5-8) at Lambeau Field, where the temperature hovered near 3 degrees.
The Texans (6-7) won despite committing four turnovers. Schaub, who had one pass intercepted, completed 28 of 42 passes for 414 yards, with two touchdowns. He played with a brace on his left knee, but his mobility didn’t suffer. He made big plays on rollouts and bootlegs all afternoon.
Quoteworthy: “Our group had every reason at some point to fold with the turnovers hurting us. But this group is made of a lot of character, and it’s as good a win as I’ve ever been around.” -- Gary Kubiak, Texans coach
