There I was, watching the Lakers play the Knicks on Tuesday evening, second quarter, and . . . a 10-minute interview with Alyssa Milano! Her plans! Fabrics for her line of clothes! Her charitable works! Her! Her! Her!

. . . and the Knicks are running up the score on the Lakers.

Fox Sports should be ashamed. It’s not enough that you play coming attractions on the screen during play, sometimes obstructing it. Not enough that you’re gone during commercial breaks long enough to miss important action. You couldn’t wait until a timeout, or the end of a quarter for that pithy, insightful, probing . . . uh, completely meaningless . . . interview?
