Cleveland 102, at Oklahoma City 91: LeBron James scored 31 points, Mo Williams had 20 and the Cavaliers finished a four-game trip with their third win in a row. James eclipsed 30 points for the fourth straight game, but his team needed much longer to deliver the knockout punch to the Thunder than in the teams’ first meeting, a 35-point Cleveland win. The Cavaliers won for the 22nd time in 24 games and extended the best start in franchise history to 23-4. Kevin Durant scored 26 for the Thunder.

Dallas 97, at Washington 86: Jason Terry scored 25 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 23 to help the Mavericks send the Wizards to their sixth consecutive loss. Washington tied a 42-year-old franchise record for worst start; the 1966-67 Baltimore Bullets also started 4-21. The win was Dallas’ 13th in 17 games.

at Atlanta 85, Detroit 78: Mike Bibby put an end to the Pistons’ domination of the Hawks, scoring a season-high 27 points. Detroit, which won all four games against Atlanta last season, trailed by 18 points early in the second half before rallying to within 80-76 on a basket by Rasheed Wallace with 2:30 remaining. But Bibby answered with a jump shot.
