Update -- The Kings improved to 8-3-1 in their last 12 games by scoring four unanswered goals Thursday night in a 5-3 victory at Detroit, which owns the league’s best record. The Kings have given up one power-play goal in the last eight games. On the flip side, they were two for five on the power play against the Red Wings after going two for 35 in the previous eight games. The Penguins will be without standout center Sidney Crosby, who has missed the last eight games because of an ankle sprain.
