Santa Clara (12-11, 4-4) at Pepperdine (8-17, 2-7), 8 p.m. -- The Waves are coming off a comeback victory on Monday at Portland. It was only their second victory against a Division I team since Dec. 8, but it allowed them to equal last season’s victory total. Santa Clara, which defeated Pepperdine, 101-86, on Jan. 21, is second in the conference with a 48% shooting percentage.

St. Mary’s (21-3, 8-1) at Loyola Marymount (5-20, 2-7), 8 -- The Lions have lost six of seven games and are averaging only 55.3 points over that span. Sophomore guard Shawn Deadwiler is averaging 14.6 points over the last three -- up from his season average of 10.3. St. Mary’s, ranked No. 21 in the nation, has won four in a row and nine of 10.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE

BIG WEST CONFERENCE

Pacific (17-7, 8-3) at Cal State Fullerton (16-7, 8-3), 4 p.m. -- It’s a key game for both teams in the conference race and the loser will fall at least two games behind with only four to play. The Titans have won six of their last seven games. Pacific, which defeated Fullerton, 89-82, is coming off a loss at UC Irvine on Thursday -- its first loss in four games.

UC Riverside (5-16, 2-8) at Cal State Northridge (16-6, 8-2), 7 -- The conference-leading Matadors, ranked No. 18 in the Collegeinsider.com mid-major poll, ended a brief two-game losing streak last Saturday. Junior center Tremaine Townsend was named conference player of the week after averaging 16.5 points and 17.5 rebounds in two games. Riverside has lost four of its last five. The Highlanders are led by Larry Henderson, who is averaging 14.5 points a game.

UC Santa Barbara (18-6, 7-4) at UC Davis (8-16, 2-9), 7 -- The Gauchos, who have won four of their last five games, still have their sights set on the conference title, but begin a stretch of five of their final six games on the road. They are 6-3 on the road and have won their last three away from home. Davis is averaging 60.9 points during its current seven-game losing streak.

NONCONFERENCE

Long Beach State (6-17) at Cal State Bakersfield (7-17), 7 -- The 49ers have won two of their last three games and are seeking to win consecutive games for the first time this season. They lost to Bakersfield, 80-77, in overtime on Jan. 23. The Roadrunners, making the transition to Division I, have lost three consecutive games since that victory over Long Beach.
