* Detroit 3, at Dallas 0: Dominik Hasek stopped 22 shots for his 78th career shutout and Brian Rafalski scored a first-period goal. Hasek also reached 375 victories to break a tie with John Vanbiesbrouck for 11th on the career list. Detroit has 31 wins, the most after 42 games in the franchise’s 82-year history.

* Washington 5, at Montreal 4 (OT): Mike Green scored 1:27 into overtime for his third point and the Capitals won for the third time in four games.

* Philadelphia 3, at Toronto 2: Antero Niittymaki made 54 saves, Steve Downie scored his first NHL goal and the Flyers won for the fourth time in five games.

* at Nashville 4, Minnesota 1: J.P. Dumont and Dan Hamhuis each had a goal and an assist to lead the Predators, who scored three first-period goals for the second game in a row.

* at Boston 4, New Jersey 3: P.J. Axelsson had a goal and two assists and Marco Sturm scored a short-handed goal with 0.6 seconds left in the first period.

* at Ottawa 4, Tampa Bay 3 (OT): Mike Fisher scored 3:17 into overtime to help the Senators extend the Lightning’s losing streak to a season-high seven games.

* at Pittsburgh 3, Florida 0: Ty Conklin made 35 saves for his second shutout and seventh victory in seven starts, helping the Penguins win their sixth in a row. Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin each had a goal and an assist.

* at St. Louis 1, Carolina 0: Lee Stempniak scored his 50th NHL goal in the first period and Manny Legace made 26 saves. Legace’s 21st shutout -- his third this season -- helped the Blues end their four-game losing streak at home (0-2-2).

* at Colorado 2, N.Y. Islanders 1 (OT): Marek Svatos gathered a loose puck in front of the net and backhanded a shot past Rick DiPietro 2:05 into overtime, helping the Avalanche end a four-game losing streak.

* at San Jose 3, Columbus 2: Patrick Rissmiller scored two goals for the first time in his career and the Sharks stopped their five-game home winless skid.

* at Edmonton 3, N.Y. Rangers 2 (SO): Sam Gagner scored his fourth shootout winner of the season and the Oilers earned their NHL-best 11th shootout victory.

* at Phoenix 3, Ducks 2 (SO): Peter Mueller scored the only goal in a shootout to give the Coyotes the victory.

* Calgary 6, at Kings 4: Jarome Iginla had a goal and two assists and the Flames won their fifth in a row.
