UC Davis (7-8, 1-1) at Long Beach State (3-11, 0-3), 4 p.m. -- The 49ers’ season-long losing streak has reached five games, despite the play of Donovan Morris, who has averaged 23.2 in the last four. Davis is coming off an 82-47 loss to Cal State Northridge in which the Aggies shot only 33.3%.

UC Santa Barbara (12-4, 1-2) at Cal State Fullerton (10-4, 3-0), 6 p.m. -- The Gauchos were the preseason favorites for the conference title but have lost consecutive games for the first time this season. The Titans are 3-0 in conference play for the first time since 1984.

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (6-9, 1-2) at UC Irvine (6-9, 1-1), 7 p.m. -- The Anteaters have won two of their last three games and are shooting 51.4% from three-point range in conference games. The Mustangs have lost four of their last five games. Matt Hanson leads the team in scoring at 9.3 points a game.

BIG WEST CONFERENCE

Pacific (11-4, 2-0) at Cal State Northridge (11-3, 3-0), 7 p.m. -- The Matadors have won four consecutive games and are limiting opponents to 41.2% shooting but have lost 11 of their last 12 games against Pacific. The Tigers have won three in a row and are shooting 52.9% in Big West play. Pacific has won 11 of the last 12 games between the teams.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE

Gonzaga (11-4) at Loyola Marymount (3-13), 5:30 p.m. -- The Lions open conference play on a six-game losing streak and have been outscored by an average of more than 20 points during that stretch. Gonzaga, the seven-time defending conference champion, lost to the Lions, 71-67, in its last trip to Gersten Pavilion last Feb. 5.

Portland (5-10) at Pepperdine (6-10), 7:30 p.m. -- The Waves are coming off a 118-76 victory over NAIA Hope International but have lost six of their last seven games against Division I opponents. They are shooting 42.8% from the field. Portland is led by Nik Raivio, the brother of former Gonzaga guard Derek Raivio, the WCC co-player of the year last season.

WOMEN

PACIFIC 10 CONFERENCE

UCLA (8-8, 3-2) at Washington State (3-12, 0-4), 2 p.m. -- After losing two conference games by three points, the Bruins finished on the better end of a close game Thursday night, as Washington missed a three-point shot at the buzzer and UCLA won, 59-57. Still, the Bruins had a chance to secure the victory with 7.6 seconds remaining, but senior forward Lindsey Pluimer, a 79.3% free throw shooter for her career, missed the front end of a one-and-one situation. Katie Appleton, a junior guard from Big Bear Lake, averages a team-high 12.8 points for the Cougars.
