* at Washington 111, New York 98: Caron Butler extended his made free-throw streak to an NBA season-high 54 to help the Wizards end the Knicks’ three-game winning streak. The Knicks failed to record what would have been their first four-game winning streak since January 2006.

* at Toronto 89, Atlanta 78: Chris Bosh had 35 points for the Raptors, who won for the sixth time in seven games. Bosh, who had 13 points in the fourth quarter, has scored at least 30 in four of Toronto’s last five games.

* at Boston 116, Philadelphia 89: Paul Pierce scored 14 of his 22 points in the third quarter to help the Celtics take the lead, and Ray Allen scored 10 of his 23 in the fourth when they pulled away. Reggie Evans of the 76ers made the first three-pointer of his career after missing all six he had tried since coming into the league in 2002.

* at Memphis 124, Seattle 100: The Grizzlies handed the SuperSonics their ninth consecutive loss. Seattle had not lost nine in a row since early in the 1972-73 season. Bobby Jones, with the Grizzlies on a 10-day contract, had the first double-double of his career -- 20 points and 13 rebounds.

* Sacramento 100, at Detroit 93: Trailing, 96-93, the Pistons got two good looks at a tying shot in the final minute but missed both attempts. Mike Bibby converted a running layup with 18 seconds to play to put away the game for the Kings, who ended a three-game road losing streak.

* at New Orleans 112, Charlotte 84: The Hornets took their largest lead at 86-56 with about two minutes left in the third quarter. David West, who scored 28 points in 32 minutes, made a driving layup with a second to go in the quarter, giving them a 90-62 lead and allowing Coach Byron Scott to empty his bench during the fourth quarter.

* at Phoenix 115, Minnesota 95: It was the Timberwolves’ 15th consecutive loss on the road. The Suns’ Steve Nash was almost perfect -- six for six from the field and four for four from the free-throw line for 17 points with 13 assists. He had only one turnover in 28 minutes.

* Golden State 119, at Chicago 111: Baron Davis matched a career high with 40 points, making six three-pointers, and the Warriors used a strong finish to beat the Bulls. Davis and Stephen Jackson each made two free throws during the final seconds.

* Portland 98, at Miami 91: The Trail Blazers extended the Heat’s losing streak to 12 games, which matches the third-longest in franchise history.

* at Utah 106, Clippers 88: The Clippers fell to 1-30 in EnergySolutions Arena -- originally known as the Delta Center.
