Home-invasion thief hits again
A thief who police believe targets the homes of elderly Westside women struck again, slipping through the window of an 84-year-old woman’s home.
The burglary was reported about 3:20 a.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of Pelham Avenue in West Los Angeles, said Los Angeles Police Officer Kate Lopez.
The thief broke in through a kitchen window before fleeing with some property, she said. The resident was not injured, Lopez said.
Investigators believe the thief is 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and 25 to 35 years old, wearing dark clothing and gloves.
He is being sought in connection with at least five home-invasion thefts since May.
