Philadelphia 6, at Atlanta 2: Chase Utley’s eighth-inning triple drove in Shane Victorino with the go-ahead run. The East Division-leading Phillies are 4-1 against the Braves this season. They are the first team this season to win the first two games of a series in Atlanta.

Arizona 4, at Pittsburgh 3: Chris Snyder led off the top of the ninth inning with a home run. He hit a 1-and-1 pitch into the seats against reliever John Grabow.

St. Louis 8, at Houston 4: Adam Wainwright shut down the Astros before leaving because of a sprained finger, and Ryan Ludwick hit a three-run homer to help the Cardinals. Wainwright, who left in the sixth inning, improved to 5-0 in his last six starts against the Astros.

at Florida 8, Cincinnati 7: Cody Ross hit a two-out, two-run homer in the ninth inning. The home run, off closer Francisco Cordero, came on an 0-and-1 pitch.

San Francisco 6, at Washington 0: John Bowker’s grand slam capped a six-run eighth inning, and Jonathan Sanchez won his third consecutive start. He yielded four singles in seven innings. The Giants sent 10 men to the plate in the eighth.

at Colorado 7, Milwaukee 2: Brad Hawpe hit a grand slam, Ian Stewart hit a solo homer into the third deck in right field and Greg Reynolds got his first major league win. Reynolds (1-3) baffled hitters all evening, limiting the Brewers to two runs and four hits over six innings. Reynolds, the second overall pick in the 2006 draft from Stanford, had his sinker working, breaking four bats.

at San Diego 2, New York 1 (10 innings): Scott Hairston hit a leadoff homer in the 10th.

at Dodgers 7, Chicago 3: Matt Kemp capped a five-run seventh inning with a three-run homer.
