* at Cleveland 1, Minnesota 0: C.C. Sabathia (4-8) pitched a five-hitter for his seventh career shutout and the Indians extended the Twins’ season-high losing streak to six games. Sabathia didn’t allow a baserunner after the fourth, striking out five without a walk.

* Texas 6, at Kansas City 5: Ian Kinsler scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball in the ninth inning and the Rangers used five unearned runs to rally from a four-run deficit.

* at Detroit 6, Chicago 4: Miguel Cabrera’s go-ahead two-run single in the fifth inning helped the Tigers end the White Sox’s seven-game winning streak.

* Baltimore 10, at Boston 6: Aubrey Huff matched his career high with four hits, including a tying two-run single. Boston lost at home for the second time in 17 games.

* at Toronto 3, Seattle 1: Dustin McGowan pitched his third career complete game and Vernon Wells and Brad Wilkerson each homered in a game that last only 2 hours 2 minutes.

* New York 3, at Oakland 1: Chien-Ming Wang got his first win in seven starts, taking advantage of an early lead and an insurance run on Melky Cabrera’s solo homer in the ninth inning.
