Unkind words for O’Neal

Share

It is so unfortunate and disgraceful what Shaq has done. The verbiage of his rap attack was cheap as well as vulgar. Players need to take it out on the court, not on air, with abuses and profanity. Shaq has shown what he is made of.

I hope other fans of the game speak up and show their disdain at this type of behavior.

So what do you do when you have a massive ego, your personal life is a mess, and your once excellent basketball skills have become ordinary? You “rap” about how you are better than the best center who ever played the game (Kareem), and you blame Kobe because your wife left you for another man. But Shaq, that isn’t “freestylin.” It’s just a “bum rap.”

Shaquille O’Neal gave Kobe Bryant a “bum rap” to say the least. At this late stage in his career, there’s little Shaq could do for the Lakers except further bloat their payroll. His scoring average in the last three years has incrementally tanked from 20 a game in 2006, then down to 17 last year, and finally 13.6 for this season. If it’s a numbers game he’s rapping about, then Shaq will surely lose.

Maybe it’s jealousy because he’s no longer in the national spotlight. Whatever reason or justification, O’Neal’s ridiculous and infantile attack on his former teammate only serves to belittle Shaq himself.

Shaq, I think it’s only fair that you take the money you’ll make from your revived rap career and use it to reimburse Dwyane Wade’s medical expenses for the injuries he incurred carrying you to a championship.

While Kobe may deserve criticism for various things, he has always been an athlete far superior to Shaq, who has relied primarily on intimidation and size to defeat opponents.

Perhaps Shaq should take a page from John Wooden’s thoughts on life and wisdom, that it’s better (and I paraphrase) to say nothing and let people think you’re ignorant or foolish, than to open your mouth and confirm it.

The big diesel became the big crybaby. He can’t seem to be able to handle his rapid decline so he rants out at Kobe. How sad.

I wanted to tell Shaq not to give up his day job, but then I remembered that he hasn’t been doing too well at that one either.
