Making a last-ditch effort to keep the SuperSonics, Seattle unveiled a $300-million KeyArena renovation plan Thursday led by four prominent businessmen.

Developer Matt Griffin and his three partners -- Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Steve Ballmer, Costco Wholesale Corp. President and CEO Jim Sinegal and wireless entrepreneur John Stanton -- agreed to contribute $150 million to the plan, contingent on their ability to buy the SuperSonics or another team.

The NBA’s board of governors will vote in April on the team’s bid to move to Oklahoma City.

Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko will sit out at least two more games because of a hip injury suffered when he was fouled flagrantly Monday by Dallas’ Dirk Nowitzki. . . . Washington Wizards forward Caron Butler may practice next week but there was still no timetable for his return from a hip injury that has sidelined him for all but two games since Jan. 27.
