Hawks’ Knight to step down

Atlanta Hawks General Manager Billy Knight is stepping down, effective July 1.

Knight made the announcement Wednesday and said in a statement he’s “leaving the organization in much better shape than it was in when I took over.”

Denver’s Carmelo Anthony has been ticketed for speeding, three weeks after he was cited on a charge of driving under the influence. Police say Anthony was stopped Saturday for driving 60 mph in a 45-mph zone.
