Litsch (7-1) hasn’t lost in seven starts since a defeat at Tampa Bay on April 22. He gave up seven hits in seven innings, struck out three and walked one in throwing a season-high 108 pitches.
Minnesota 5, at Kansas City 1: The Royals’ Luke Hochevar (3-5), has started three of the 11 games in Kansas City’s losing streak and gotten only one run in support. The rookie started the first game of the streak when Boston’s Jon Lester no-hit the Royals in a 7-0 win.
Chicago 5, at Tampa Bay 1: John Danks (4-4) gave up one run and six hits in six innings to beat Edwin Jackson (3-4) for the second time this season. He pitched seven scoreless innings to beat Jackson, 6-0, on April 20.
