As the Heisman Trophy race heats up, Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell and Red Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree might wind up stealing each other’s thunder. For now, though, they’re both benefiting. They connected for a game-winning touchdown last week. They connected on half the team’s touchdowns this week.

COLT McCOY, junior quarterback, Texas: McCoy and wide receiver Quan Cosby spent a lot of time this week in the Texas training room as they were treated for minor injuries. They spent a lot of time connecting on the field, too, in a 45-21 victory over Baylor. McCoy recorded his fourth 300-yard game this season, including two touchdown passes to Cosby. Stats: 26 for 37 passing for 300 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions.

GRAHAM HARRELL, senior quarterback, Texas Tech: Harrell lost two fumbles, including one on the opening drive. But he made up for it by leading the Red Raiders down the field for touchdowns on the next seven drives. Stats: 40 for 50 passing for 456 yards and six touchdowns.

SAM BRADFORD, sophomore quarterback, Oklahoma: Bradford’s four touchdown passes went to different receivers and he tied a school record with his eighth 300-yard game of the season. Stats: 22 for 33 passing for 320 yards and four touchdowns.

TIM TEBOW, junior quarterback, Florida: Tebow led Florida in both rushing and passing. Stats: 12 for 17 passing for 172 yards and three touchdowns; 88 yards and two touchdowns rushing in 11 carries.

MICHAEL CRABTREE, sophomore wide receiver, Texas Tech: Crabtree didn’t miss a beat after making the game-winning touchdown last week against Texas. Stats: eight catches for 89 yards and three touchdowns.

DEZ BRYANT, sophomore receiver, Oklahoma State: Bryant hinted this week that he deserved as much media attention as Crabtree. His performance didn’t back up the talk. Bryant didn’t have a catch until the final seconds of the first half. Stats: four catches for 86 yards.
