They’ve got us
I have finally figured out the L.A. Times’ strategy for the sports section. Eliminate coverage of minor sports, change the categories and formats, run feature stories nobody is interested in, import writers from other sections who know nothing about sports. Eventually the sports page will disappear and no one will notice.

I have noticed that The Times lists the NBA standings in large print and the NHL standings in minuscule type on the back pages.
So I can assume that it is your policy to highlight leagues only where a team actually plays in L.A.?
