BIG 12 REPORT

No. 1 Oklahoma 49, at Baylor 17: The Sooners, who took over the top spot in the Associated Press poll this week, convincingly played the role of No. 1 as Sam Bradford threw for 379 yards with two touchdowns and DeMarco Murray ran for two scores at Waco, Texas, in the Big 12 opener for both teams. The Sooners (5-0) are 18-0 against Baylor (2-3), the last five meetings in Waco decided by an average margin of 36 points.

No. 4 Missouri 52, at Nebraska 17: Chase Daniel threw three touchdown passes, Derrick Washington ran for 139 yards and scored three times and the Tigers (5-0) beat the overmatched Cornhuskers (3-2) in a Big 12 opener at Lincoln. It was Missouri’s first road win at Nebraska in 30 years.

No. 5 Texas 38, at Colorado 14: Chris Ogbonnaya scored two touchdowns and saved another for the Longhorns (5-0), who easily defeated the Buffaloes (3-2) in a Big 12 opener at Boulder. Ogbonnaya, a senior running back, scored on a 65-yard dump-off pass and a 13-yard run, then saved a score when he chased down cornerback Jalil Brown at the Texas 16 after a rare interception of a pass by Colt McCoy, who was picked off twice.

No. 16 Kansas 35, at Iowa State 33: Todd Reesing threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns, and the Jayhawks (4-1) stormed stormed back from a 20-point hole before hanging on to beat the Cyclones (2-3) in a Big 12 opener at Ames, Iowa. Kansas tied the third-biggest comeback in school history by outscoring Iowa State, 35-13, in the second half.

No. 7 Texas Tech 58, at Kansas State 28: Graham Harrell threw six touchdown passes and broke the school record for career yards passing, leading the Red Raiders (5-0) past the Wildcats (3-2) in a Big 12 opener at Manhattan. Harrell was 38 for 51 for 454 yards and has 12,709 yards in his career.

at No. 21 Oklahoma State 56, Texas A&M; 28: Dez Bryant caught three passes for touchdowns and scored another on a punt return, and the Cowboys (5-0) routed the Aggies (2-3) in a conference opener at Stillwater.
