Abuse charge filed against mother
The mother of a toddler left in a locked SUV in Van Nuys last week was charged Thursday with one felony count of child abuse, the district attorney’s office said.
Inga Lvovskaya, 37, is accused of leaving her nearly 2-year-old son in the vehicle parked on Van Nuys Boulevard on Sept. 4 while she shopped at a Babies R Us store.
A person walking past the vehicle heard a child crying and asked store employees to call police.
Lvovskaya, who lives in nearby Valley Glen, was arrested and later released on bail. Her arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 25 in Van Nuys Superior Court.
