at No. 6 Missouri 69, Nevada 17: Chase Daniel threw for 405 yards and four touchdowns and the Tigers (3-0) scored on their first 10 possessions in a victory over the Wolf Pack (1-2) at Columbia. Missouri gained 651 total yards and averaged 10 yards a play. The 69 points tied a team record set against Kansas in 1969, and the Tigers have scored 173 points in three games. Daniel connected on touchdown passes of 80, 14 and 49 yards with Jeremy Maclin, and threw a 27-yarder to Jared Perry. Derrick Washington ran for two scores.

at No. 12 Texas Tech 43, Southern Methodist 7: Graham Harrell threw for 418 yards and five touchdowns, three to Michael Crabtree, to help the Red Raiders (3-0) defeat the Mustangs (1-2) at Lubbock. Harrell, coming off his worst game in two years in last week’s win over Nevada, completed 31 of 48 passes and threw touchdown passes of 23, 47, 50, seven and 44 yards. Crabtree had his best game of the season, catching eight passes for 164 yards. Safety Daniel Charbonnet had three of Texas Tech’s five interceptions.

at Oklahoma State 57, Missouri State 13: Keith Toston ran for 148 yards and two teammates each rushed for more than 130 yards as the Cowboys (3-0) defeated the Bears (0-2) at Stillwater. Beau Johnson rushed for 138 yards, and Kendall Hunter had 132 as Oklahoma State piled up 450 yards rushing, sixth-most in school history. Starting quarterback Zac Robinson threw only four passes, completing two for 82 yards, before yielding to Alex Cate on the final drive of the first half. Cate and fellow backup Brandon Weeden both got their first game action of the season.

at Nebraska 38, New Mexico State 7: Joe Ganz threw a touchdown pass, ran for a score and caught a touchdown pass, and Marlon Lucky helped revive Nebraska’s rushing attack with 103 yards, leading the Cornhuskers (3-0) past the Aggies (0-1) at Lincoln. New Mexico State (0-1) was playing its first game because its Sept. 4 game against Nicholls State was canceled by Hurricane Gustav.
