Chase Clement threw three touchdown passes to Jarrett Dillard, setting an NCAA record for career scoring passes (41) involving the same duo, and Rice (3-2) rolled to a 77-20 win over North Texas (0-4) at Houston. The 77 points set a record for a Conference USA team.

In the Mid-American Conference: MiQuale Lewis had three touchdowns to lead Ball State (5-0, 2-0) to a 41-20 win over Kent State (1-4, 0-1) at Muncie, Ind. . . . Me’Co Brown had 111 yards rushing to lead Northern Illinois (2-2, 1-1) to a 41-20 win over host Eastern Michigan (1-4, 0-2) at Ypsilanti. . . .
