I enjoyed Geoff Boucher’s article on Bruce Springsteen [“It’s No Dream,” April 5] but there was one thing missing. If Bruce is for the working class, why are the tickets $65 (plus outrageous Ticketmaster fees, which put them up to almost $80, plus parking that makes it $100 to see Bruce). Or, you can purchase the $95 tickets that makes it a $120 event.

I’ve been a Bruce fan since I saw him freshman year in college (1974) and I’ve never missed a concert tour. But I’ve lost my job, I may lose my home and paying over $100 is not in my budget. So, why doesn’t Bruce have some $30 tickets for his unfortunate fans who’ve lost their jobs and homes, the ones he often sings about?

I love Bruce, but I think he has a chance to make a statement by charging less. He even talked about some empty seats at some of his shows. He never discussed them in terms of ticket prices. Anyway, just wanted to point that out. If he has any extra seats, , or can call Bruce for me, tell him I would love to go, but if it is food versus Bruce, I need to eat.
